The Foresters Announce New Album House Stories, Share New Song: Stream - CT Scramble 5/5/2017

New Haven indie pop youths The Foresters have announced their new record House Stories and have shared the first single “The Tenement Sweep.”

A natural follow up to the the band’s 2015 debut, House Stories takes the eclectic indie pop sounds of Sun Songs and creates a more coherent sonic experience. While the previous album was recorded in three different studios across three different states by two different producers, the new album was recorded entirely in the band’s home studio and was mixed by Floyd Kellogg (of You Scream I Scream and Violent Mae).

The Foresters on WESU - CMJ - 12/11/2015

Sun Songs by The Foresters

Choppy and abrupt, the Foresters are catchy in a fantastic way. Upon some scrounging around the band’s Facebook, it’s tough to tell just how old these seemingly very young men are, but their music leads one to believe they could pass for well-seasoned musicians who have been playing clubs for a while. Don’t miss “Machines” and “Swan Jeremy” when you give this a first listen.

Foresters Find Their Way – New Haven Independent – 7/30/2015

His guitar at his waist, Evan Nork grinned out into the audience, edging towards the microphone in front of him. “How’s everyone doing tonight?” he asked.

A few whoops rose from the back of the audience, where Nork’s friend “Batman Kevin” sat nodding avidly, disguised behind a Halloween mask.

Meet – The Foresters – 50thirdand3rd – 7/22/2015

Today we meet – The Foresters. They have to be the youngest group we have ever covered here at 50thirdand3rd. Ranging from 13 to 17, their sound will amaze you, in all seriousness I would guess they were all in their mid 20’s. You can pick up on some influences from some great Indie rockers but the overall sound is distinctively their own.

The Foresters, “Swan Jeremy.” The Foresters have a brand new album, Sun Songs, out this month, and all of it is good. But I want to concentrate on this single song, as it’s been my binge-listen for the past few days and I keep playing it over and over and over.

Love at First Listen… The Foresters – Indie Habit – 6/22/2015

It is so rare that I start a playlist of an artist for the first time and immediately decide I love it. I’m impulsive in many other areas of life, but not when it comes to music. It never fails that when that feeling hits me, it turns out to be true and The Foresters delivered.

Lonesome Song: “Afternoon” by The Foresters – Lonesome Noise – 6/15/2015

The Foresters are a rather unique band in the Connecticut landscape: not only are they too young to drink, they are too young to drive. The three brothers (Evan – guitar and lead vocals; Hayden – bass, vocals; and Liam – drums) are releasing their third album, Sun Songs, later this summer.

“Afternoon” by The Foresters, Song Review – Music Unlabeled – 5/25/2015

“Afternoon” by the Foresters is the first single off of Sun Songs, dropping this summer. The track has a definite folksy sound to it, and is driven by a single melody that can be heard in all of the different elements of the song, from the percussion to the synthesizer. But even with a single melody leading the way throughout “Afternoon,” you can still hear the same unique sounds that gave The Foresters their fame.
